Repurpose cardboard boxes for future relocation
Reusing your future relocation can be a great idea. Especially if you spent money and got good quality ones. Good moving boxes are necessary for any relocation. And, even if you don't need them, a friend of your might end up needing them in the close future. If you stack them inside each other they do not take up much room so they will not be in your way. But, reusing ones that are poor quality is a potential moving mistake. Cardboard is not a terribly durable material. Therefore, if you have any damaged boxes, do not think that you will be able to reuse them. Nor should you lend them to your friends and family. Safety comes first and damaged moving boxes are never safe.Fun for kids
Today's kids are really missing out. They are surrounded by constant stimulation for fun. There are video games, cartoons, tv-shows, telephones and toys that were unimaginable just a couple of decades ago. This is not good for them as too much stimulation can render you senseless. Therefore, if you want to do your kids a huge favor, and help them settle into a new home, repurpose cardboard boxes as toys.
Create cardboard toys
The best use of cardboard boxes, in terms of toys, is for creating big objects in which they can physically step in. A large box, or a couple of combined smaller boxes, can easily become a car, plane or a fortress. It is all up to you and your creativeness. Cardboard also makes excellent material for toy weapons as there is no risk of kids getting hurt if they play with it. You can even make cardboard armor and other costumes for your kids so that they have a complete medieval carboard experience. The more you think about how to repurpose cardboard boxes as toys the more you will realize how many uses for it are there. So, set an example for your kids that joy is not about what you have, but how you use it.Arts and crafts
But, even if you don't have kids, there are numerous ways in which you can repurpose cardboard boxes. Again, your imagination is your only limitation. There are many beautiful things people have created by simply using cardboard boxes, tape, and colors. Heck, if you think about, there is even Origami which is, essentially, how can I make a piece of paper into a piece of art. And, once you use that kind of mentality of your residual moving boxes, you will make them into pretty and/usable objects in no time.Cardboard lamp
By carefully cutting your repurpose cardboard boxes you can make all the necessary parts of a lamp. You will need the electronics for a lamp, of course. But, the cardboard can be easily used for the outer parts of it. You can laminate it in plastic to make it more durable and easier to clean from dust. Furthermore, you can use colored plastic to make your lamp shine in different colors. The possibilities are endless. But, one thing that you need to keep in mind is safety. Your lamps need to be safe from fire, especially if make them out of cardboard. Do not place any part of cardboard too close to the lightbulb as it may catch on fire. Always think of safety first when dealing with electronics.
