How Much Does Dallas Packing Cost?
Dallas packing is billed on our real hourly crew card ($160-$310/hr, same rate as the move) plus materials at cost. Ranges below reflect typical booked packs by home size, from full-home to fragile-only. Two-hour minimum applies to every packing job.
Packing price may be higher when the job involves:
- Extra fragile items (china, crystal, art)
- Custom crating for oversized items
- Same-day rush jobs inside 24 hours
- Unpacking added on top of packing
- Overnight or after-hours packing windows
- Wardrobe boxes for large closets
- Restricted freight elevator windows
- Peak moving dates (last weekend of month)
- Additional stops or storage transfers
Two hour minimum on all Dallas local moves, plus travel time.
Included at no extra charge: blankets and moving pads, shrink wrap and tape, disassembly and reassembly, dollies, tools and straps, and fuel. A 2.5% fee applies to final balances paid by card.

How much do packing services cost in Dallas?
Flat quotes range from about $395 for a studio partial pack to about $2,830 for a full 4-bedroom pack. Every Dallas packing job is priced flat in writing before we start - crew hours + materials, no hidden fees.
Do you supply the boxes and materials?
Yes. Boxes, wardrobe boxes, dish packs, paper, tape, bubble, and shrink wrap ride on the truck. You pay only for what gets used, at cost, itemized on the invoice.
Can you pack just the kitchen or just the fragile stuff?
Yes. Partial packing is quoted room-by-room. Common picks: kitchen only, master bedroom only, garage only, or fragile-items-only across the whole home.
Do you crate art, mirrors, and marble?
Yes. Custom wooden crates built on site with museum-grade foam padding. Standard for oil paintings, framed art over 40 inches, marble tabletops, chandeliers, and antique mirrors.
How long does a full packing job take?
Rough guide: studio in 2-3 hours, 1-bedroom in 4-5 hours, 2-3 bedroom in 5-6 hours, 4-bedroom in 6-8 hours. Actual time depends on kitchen density and fragile count.
Can you pack the day before the move?
Yes. Standard sequence is pack today, load tomorrow morning. Boxes stack in the garage or living room overnight so the load-day crew is not competing with the packers for floor space.
Do you unpack too?
Yes. Unpacking is quoted separately at the same hourly crew rate. Boxes opened, contents placed on counters and shelves, empty boxes and packing paper hauled away same day.
Are packers different from movers?
Same trained W-2 crew, different day. Every Evolution mover is trained on box-by-category packing before their first paid packing job. You get the same faces on packing day and load day if scheduling allows.
Are your packers insured?
Yes. Full cargo insurance, general liability, and workers-comp coverage on every packing job - same policies as our full moves. Damage claims handled in-house.
How much notice do you need to book packing?
Same-day and next-day slots are sometimes available. 3-7 days is typical for full-home packs. Peak week (last weekend of month) needs 2-3 weeks lead.

How do I book Dallas packing?
Submit the form or call, then schedule a video walkthrough. We count fragiles and rooms, quote a flat price, and hold the date. One-hour local deposit, $500 per truck interstate.
Will you measure or weigh anything?
Neither. Packing is priced by room count and fragile count from the video walkthrough. You pay for the crew hours and materials actually used.
What paperwork will I sign?
One flat written quote before packing day, and one bill of lading on the day. The final invoice matches the quote unless you add unpacking or crating on the spot in writing.
Can you provide a certificate of insurance for my building?
Yes, at no cost, naming your building or HOA. Request when you book; usually issued the same business day.
What if the elevator or dock has restricted hours?
We schedule the packing crew and the load crew around your building's freight window. If access is questionable we plan a smaller crew for tight hours rather than surprising you.
How do I know the packers are trained?
Every Evolution Dallas packer is W-2 employed, background-checked, and trained on box-by-category systems before the first paid job. Ask for the crew lead's name at booking; same lead shows up on packing day.
What happens if something is damaged?
Claims handled in-house, not farmed out. Note it at unpacking, send photos, your coordinator opens the claim the same day. Cargo insurance covers the repair or replacement.
Do you handle unused boxes?
Yes. Unused clean boxes bought back at half the purchase price if returned within 30 days. Recycling pickup for used ones on request.
