Dallas piano moves are quoted flat, not hourly. Ranges below reflect our typical booked jobs by piano type, using our real 3 to 5 mover Dallas crew hourly rates ($220 to $375/hr) plus specialty rigging gear. Final flat price is capped in writing before the truck rolls.

Yes. Every crew is trained on stair moves. If the count is more than one flight or the turn is tight, we add movers and rig a stair-ramp system. The stair count is priced into the flat quote up front.
Can you hoist a piano through a window or balcony?
Yes on request. Rigging jobs require a site visit before quoting so we can plan anchor points, permits, and crane if needed. Permits and COI are included in the written flat price.
Do I need to tune the piano after the move?
Yes. Any piano move stresses the frame and strings; tuning about 2 to 4 weeks after the move once the instrument acclimates is standard. We can refer a Dallas piano tuner on request.
Are your piano movers insured?
Yes. Every Evolution crew carries full cargo insurance, general liability, and workers-compensation coverage - same policies as our full moves. Certificate of insurance is issued at no cost for buildings that require one.
How much notice do you need to book a piano move?
Same-day and next-day slots are sometimes available; 3 to 7 days is typical. Rigging jobs (crane, hoist, stairs beyond two flights) need 7 to 10 days for the site visit and permit turnaround.
Can you pick up a piano from a dealer or storage?

How do I book a piano move, and what do you need from me?
Submit the form or call, then send 2 or 3 photos of the piano and each access point. We build a flat quote and hold the date once you approve. One-hour local deposit, $500 per truck interstate.
Will you weigh or measure the piano?
We measure doorways, stairwells, and elevator dimensions from your photos. Piano weight comes from the make and model - no scale needed.
What paperwork will I sign?
One written not-to-exceed flat quote before the move, and one bill of lading on the day. The number on the bill matches the quote unless you add work in writing on the spot.
Can you provide a certificate of insurance?
Yes, at no cost, naming your building or church management at either end. Request it when you book and it is usually issued the same business day.
What if the truck cannot reach my street or driveway?
We run a small piano-only truck for tight streets, alley pickups, and historic districts. If access is questionable we plan the smaller truck into the flat quote rather than surprising you on the day.
How do I know the crew is trained for pianos?
Every Evolution Dallas piano crew is W-2 employed, background-checked, and trained on rigging before the first paid piano job. Ask for the crew lead's name at booking; you meet the same lead on the day.
What happens if the piano is damaged?
Claims are handled in-house, not farmed out. Note it on the inventory at delivery, send photos, your coordinator opens the claim the same day. Cargo insurance covers the repair.
Do you also move organs, safes, or gym equipment?
Yes. The same rigging crew handles Hammond and pipe organs, gun safes, wall safes, treadmills, home gyms, and pool tables. Priced flat per piece off photos.
