FAQS

Labor-Only Moving Questions

How much does labor-only moving cost in Fort Worth?
Fort Worth labor-only rates use the same crew tiers as our full moves. Two movers run $160 per hour with a two-hour minimum, three movers $220 per hour, four movers $300 per hour. You provide the truck or container; we bring the crew and equipment.
What size truck can your crew load?
Any size rental - 10 foot U-Haul cargo van up to a 26 foot Penske straight truck. Our crew weighs the load and stacks it top-heavy last so nothing shifts on the drive.
Do you supply the truck?
No. Labor-only means you supply the truck, container, pod, or storage unit. We supply the two to four movers and every piece of equipment they need.
What equipment does the crew bring on a labor-only job?
Furniture blankets, shrink wrap, straps, tie-downs, four-wheel dollies, appliance dollies, floor runners, and hand tools for basic disassembly. Wardrobe boxes on request. Everything is included in the hourly rate.
Is there a minimum booking time?
Yes, two hours plus travel time. If the job finishes in under two hours you are still billed for two. Most one-bedroom loads finish inside the minimum.
Can you load a storage unit?
Yes. We load into or empty out of any Fort Worth storage facility - Public Storage, Extra Space, CubeSmart, Life Storage. We stack to fit the unit dimensions and label boxes by room.
Can you do unloading only?
Yes. Book unloading only if you drove the truck yourself and need help at the destination. Same hourly rate, same two-hour minimum.
Are labor-only movers insured?
Yes. Every Evolution crew carries full cargo insurance, general liability, and workers compensation - same coverage as our full moves. Certificates of insurance available at no charge for buildings that require them.
Can I book same-day labor-only in Fort Worth?
Sometimes. We hold a small daily rescue slot for same-day and next-day labor requests. Call to check availability - the earlier you call, the better the chance of a crew.
What will your labor-only crew not load?
Cash, jewelry, firearms, ammunition, hazardous materials (paint, propane, chemicals), plants, pets, food, and open liquids. Also anything perishable or frozen. Everything else - fair game.

About Evolution Moving Company

A Fort Worth Moving Company Built on Written Prices

Labor-only sounds like the cheap option, and it is - until the wrong crew shows up. Our Fort Worth labor-only teams arrive with the same dollies, straps, and blankets we use on full moves, and they load your rental truck or PODS container tight enough to survive the drive to Amarillo. Same trained crew, hourly billing, no truck fee.

Your Fort Worth quote is based on:

  • The furniture and boxes being moved
  • The pickup and delivery addresses
  • Stairs, elevators, and walking distance
  • Building rules and permitted hours
  • Packing and storage requirements
  • Specialty or unusually heavy items
  • The requested moving date
  • Local or long-distance transportation

The price only changes if the scope changes: added items, added services, a new address or date, an extra stop, or materially different access. Any adjustment is documented and approved by you in writing before the work is performed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Booking, Paperwork, and Delivery Day

How do I book, and what do you need from me?
Submit the form or call, then schedule a video or in-home survey. Once you approve the written not-to-exceed quote we hold the date. One-hour local deposit, $500 per truck interstate.
Will my shipment be weighed?
Yes. Interstate shipments are weighed at a certified scale, and you can request the weigh tickets. You also have the right to observe the weighing.
What paperwork will I sign?
An estimate, an order for service, a bill of lading, and an inventory. Read the valuation section on the bill of lading before signing, and ask how owner-packed cartons and high-value items are treated.
Can you provide a certificate of insurance?
Yes, at no cost, naming your building and management company at either end. Request it when you book and it is usually issued the same business day.
What if the truck cannot reach my new street?
We run a shuttle: a smaller truck ferries the load from the trailer to your door. If access is questionable we plan the shuttle into the quote up front rather than surprising you on delivery day.
How do I track my shipment?
Your coordinator sends position updates and confirms the delivery day as the truck gets close. You are talking to the same person the entire time, not a call center queue.
What happens if something is damaged?
Claims are handled in house, not farmed out. Note it on the inventory at delivery, send photos, and your coordinator opens the claim the same day.
Do you move cars, boats, or motorcycles?
Vehicle transport is arranged through vetted partners and quoted separately on the same paperwork, so you are still dealing with one coordinator.
