Leaving Austin? Know Your Price Before the Truck Arrives

A lot of long distance movers online are brokers. They collect a deposit and pass your job to whichever crew bids lowest. We are a licensed carrier, so we do the work ourselves. After a short survey, we build your price from real crew hours, miles, and overnight stops, and we put it in writing.

Your load leaves Austin on our truck, with our movers, and stays with them whenever the route allows. It is not traded between trucks at a warehouse halfway to your new city.

FAQS

Long Distance Moving Questions

How much does a long distance move from Austin cost?
For a two to three bedroom home, Austin to Houston runs about $1,450 – $1,650, to Dallas about $1,550 – $1,750, and to Lubbock about $2,500 – $2,700. A studio costs less and a four-bedroom home costs more.
Is a move to San Antonio long distance?
Yes. At about 80 miles down I-35, it gets a flat price in writing. A 2–3 bedroom move to San Antonio usually comes to about $950 – $1,150.
Why is long distance priced flat?
A flat price means traffic, weather, and road work never change your bill. We build it from hours, miles, overnights, and supplies before you book.
How long will delivery take?
Trips under 250 miles, like Houston or Dallas, usually deliver in one to two days. West Texas takes one to three days. Moves across the country can take up to a week on a shared truck.
Shared truck or dedicated truck?
A shared truck carries more than one home, so you get a delivery window and a lower price. A dedicated truck carries only your things and arrives on a set day.
Do you need a deposit?
Yes. A deposit equal to one hour of labor holds a local date, and interstate moves take a $500 deposit per truck. The rest is due when your things are delivered.
Can you store my things if my new home is not ready?
Yes. We keep your load in secure storage and deliver on the day your closing or lease starts.
How early should I book?
Four to six weeks ahead for summer and month-end dates. Two to three weeks is usually enough the rest of the year.

Frequently Asked Questions

Booking, Paperwork, and Delivery Day

How do I book?
Fill out the form or call, then set up a video or in-home survey. Approve the written price and your date is held.
Will my load be weighed?
Interstate loads are weighed at a certified scale. You can ask for the weigh tickets or watch it happen.
What papers will I sign?
An estimate, an order for service, a bill of lading, and an inventory. Read the coverage section before you sign.
What if the truck cannot fit on my new street?
A smaller shuttle truck carries your things from the big truck to your door. If we spot this on the survey, it goes on the quote.
How will I know where my things are?
Your coordinator sends updates on the road and confirms delivery as the truck gets close.
What if something is damaged?
We handle claims ourselves. Note it, send photos, and your coordinator opens a claim the same day.
